NAME

esync - Calls 'emerge --sync' and 'eupdatedb' and shows updates

 

SYNOPSIS

esync [ options ]

 

DESCRIPTION

esync first imports the old esearch index, then calls 'emerge --sync' (or an alternative command: see options) and 'eupdatedb'. Then it shows the new and the updated packages.

 

OPTIONS

--help, -h
Print help message
--webrsync, -w
Use 'emerge-webrsync' instead of 'emerge --sync'
--delta-webrsync, -d
Use 'emerge-delta-webrsync' instead of 'emerge --sync'
--metadata, -m
Use 'emerge --metadata' instead of 'emerge --sync'
--layman-sync, -l
Use layman to sync any installed overlays, then sync the main tree
--nocolor, -n
Don't use ANSI codes for colored output
--quiet, \-q
Less output (implies --nospinner)
--verbose, -v
Verbose output
--nospinner, -­s
Don't display the remaining index count
