NAME
Parse::EDID - Extended display identification data (EDID) parser
DESCRIPTION
This module provides some function to parse Extended Display Identification
Data binary data structures.
Extended Display Identification Data (EDID) is a metadata format for
display devices to describe their capabilities to a video source. The
data format is defined by a standard published by the Video Electronics
Standards Association (VESA).
FUNCTIONS
parse_edid($raw_edid)
Parse the raw binary edid data, as a string, and return a corresponding data
structure, as an hashref.
check_parsed_edid($edid)
Check the data structure, and return an error message if anything is wrong, an
empty string otherwise.
find_edid_in_string($string)
Extract raw binary edid data from another tool text output, such as xrandr
--prop.
