package-manager.eselect - The PACKAGE_MANAGER management module for
Gentoo's eselect

DESCRIPTION
eselect
is Gentoo's configuration and management tool. It features modules
that care for the individual administrative tasks.
ACTION: LIST
eselect package-manager list
List available targets for the
PACKAGE_MANAGER
variable.
# eselect package-manager list
Available targets for the PACKAGE_MANAGER variable:
[1] portage
[2] pkgcore
ACTION: SET
eselect package-manager set
target
Set the
PACKAGE-MANAGER
variable in the system profile.
target
can be either an identification number given by
eselect package-manager list
or the corresponding package manager's name.
# eselect package-manager set pkgcore
Setting PACKAGE_MANAGER to pkgcore ...
Run "source /etc/profile" to update the variable in your shell.
ACTION: SHOW
eselect package-manager show
Show the value of the
PACKAGE_MANAGER
variable in the system profile.
# eselect package-manager show
PACKAGE_MANAGER variable in profile:
pkgcore
ACTION: UPDATE
eselect package-manager update
Update the
PACKAGE_MANAGER
variable if it is unset or invalid.
